Unit 3. Jim-nastics

The test will be this THURSDAY 27th November 2022.

Please there will be:

-Two listening activities

-A reading activity, where you have to find the evidence.

-An activity to write sentences from ACTIVE VOICE into PASSIVE VOICE.

-An activity to complete with the MODAL VERBS.

-An activity to complete with the vocabulary from the unit.

-An email.

Don´t forget to review the dictations at home please!

EXPLOSIVE DICTATION

Ice-hockey isn´t played ina swimming pool.

Diving is watched by millions of people during the Olympic Games.

Shall we meet at Lisas´s house after school? Her house is near the park.

The MINI TEST will be next MONDAY 7th November 2022

Diving: under water sport.

 Ice hockey: a sport played on ice between two teams. 

Boxing: a sport where you need to fight. 

Golf: a sport where you need to put the ball in small holes. 

Cycling: sport of riding a bike. 

Athletics: sport including running, jumping,throwing… 

Rugby: a team game with an oval ball. 

Surfing: a water sport where you need to ride a wave. 

Water-skiing: skim the surface of the water on waterskis. 

Cricket: sport where you have to hit the ball with a bat. 

Gymnastics: exercises developing physical agility and coordination.

PASSIVE (Present)

IRREGULAR VERBS

You need to study the irregular verbs, we are going to use the PAST PARTICIPLE.

DICTATION

• Ice-hockey is played once a week in the sport centre.
• The winner of each competition is given a prize.
• It could be a golden dog toy!
• Ideas for the surfing event are discussed.
• Plans are made to be sure that the event is safe.
